About

John Ehrlinger, Ph.D.
Assistant Staff
Quantitative Health Sciences
Lerner Research Institute
Cleveland Clinic

I am a statistician working in a biostats world. My background is in machine learning, survival and longitudinal data analysis and computational statistics. I have a programming background in many languages, though am usually in R now. I also have an engineering degree… so I like to make things work first, and pretty comes later.

My research focus has been machine learning methods applied to survival, and longitudinal modeling.

My intent is to use this blog to detail technical “discoveries”, either things that everyone knows except me, or things that I have recently been working on.
